**Homeschooling Insights: A Practical Resource for Financial Literacy** - workbook recommendation from a real home school mom

As a homeschooling mom for the past 14 years, I’ve discovered a wealth of resources that are both affordable and practical for fellow homeschoolers. One of the standout materials I’ve been using recently is a financial literacy book aimed at grades 6 through 8. However, I believe the age range is quite flexible.

Even my third grader has been able to grasp the basic concepts with some guidance. It’s been rewarding to see him understand how to use a calculator effectively to solve problems related to saving money, sales tax, coupons, and promotions. The knowledge he’s gaining is incredibly practical and applicable to everyday life.

Interestingly, my 14-year-old, although she finds some of the material a bit easy, is also benefiting from it. The book is boosting her confidence as she learns about how marketing works and how to make informed decisions when purchasing items, especially given the overwhelming influence of online advertisements and social media.

What I appreciate most about this financial literacy series is its relevance to real-life situations. The math we cover is not just theoretical; it’s about making choices that will impact their daily lives. In just 15 to 20 minutes a day, we tackle a page, discussing everything from online shopping to budgeting.

If you’re looking for a resource that bridges the gap between math and daily decision-making, I highly recommend this series. It’s a fantastic way to equip your children with skills they will use every day. Happy homeschooling!
